Bespoke Software Development

Software built for the way your business actually runs.

Booking platforms, dispatch systems, dashboards and internal tools, designed around your operation instead of the other way round. Licensed to your business for good, with your data always yours.

Licensed for goodA perpetual licence to use what we build, with your data exportable whenever you ask
Priced before it is builtScoped in phases, with a number against each phase and no open meter
Supported after launchMonitoring, fixes and new features, rather than a handover and a goodbye

Before you commit

Bespoke is not always the right answer.

Most people who ask us for custom software do not need it. This is the line we use.

Stay off the shelf

  • A mainstream product already does it
  • The workaround costs minutes, not hours
  • Your tools are fine, they just need connecting

Build something

  • The workaround is a person
  • What you sell does not fit the box
  • You are renting your own feature

What we build

Six shapes of project, and most jobs are two of them.

A booking platform almost always needs a dispatch screen behind it. A dashboard is only as good as the integration feeding it. We build the whole thing rather than the interesting half.

Quote, book and pay platforms

An instant price from the details a customer gives you, then the booking and the payment in the same flow. Deposits, balances, wallets and pay later where they suit the basket.

Dispatch and operations screens

The screen your team lives in all day. Jobs, drivers, staff, statuses and the exceptions, laid out for the busiest hour of the week rather than for a demo.

Dashboards and reporting

Revenue, volume, conversion and the two numbers a manager checks before anything else, read live from your own data instead of exported and pasted into a spreadsheet.

Customer and account portals

Corporate accounts, members and repeat customers with their own login, their own history and their own saved details, invoices and permissions.

APIs and the layer between systems

A documented API over your own data, and the middle layer that keeps your site, your till, your accounts package and your CRM telling the same story.

Internal tools and admin automation

The jobs nobody should still be doing by hand. Reconciliations, chasing, rota checks, exports, reminders and the weekly report that takes somebody a morning.

A build in detail

Quote, book and pay, for a private hire fleet.

Albatross Cars run one of the largest private hire fleets in the East Midlands, and most of their bookings still arrived by phone. Nothing on the market did their pricing, their corporate accounts and their dispatch together.

Custom dispatch, revenue reporting and booking analytics sit behind it.

Under the bonnet

The parts nobody puts on a brochure.

Custom software is easy to sell and easy to do badly. The difference only shows when something breaks.

Environments
Staging you can break. Production we do not test on.
Source code
Ours, licensed to you. The platform and reusable parts stay with us.
Data
Encrypted, backed up daily, restorable to a point in time.
Access
A login per person, and a trail on what moves money.
Payments
Card details sit with Stripe, never with you.
Monitoring
Uptime and error alerts, watched by the support team.
Documentation
Written down and handed over, not kept as leverage.
Roadmap
A backlog you can see and reorder yourself.

How a build runs

You see it working every two weeks.

The failure mode of custom software is a long silence followed by the wrong thing. We break it up, so you can change your mind while that is still cheap.

Ownership

Built on our platform, licensed to you for good.

Once you have paid in full, the licence to use what we build is yours for good. We keep the platform and the reusable parts, which is what lets us keep supporting and improving it. Want the bespoke code outright? That can be written into the Statement of Work and priced in.

  • A perpetual licence, once paid in full
  • Your domain and payment accounts in your name
  • Your data, exportable whenever you ask

Common questions

A focused first phase, something like a booking flow or an internal tool that replaces one spreadsheet, usually ships in weeks rather than months. Larger platforms are deliberately phased so the first useful piece is live early and pays for itself while the rest is still being built. We will tell you in the scope which phase does the most work.

Every build is scoped and quoted up front, phase by phase, so you are approving numbers against named pieces of work rather than signing up to a day rate. After launch there is a fixed monthly retainer covering support, monitoring and continued development. There is no commission on anything the software earns you and no per seat licence.

Ordernised owns the platform and the source code. Once you have paid in full you hold a perpetual licence to use what we build for your business, for as long as you like. If you would rather own the bespoke code outright, we can assign it to you: it is written into the Statement of Work, priced in, and excludes our platform and any third party components, which stay licensed. Either way your data is yours and exportable whenever you ask, your domain and payment accounts sit in your name, and the documentation is handed over so the setup is never a mystery.

Often, yes. We start with an audit of what is actually there, then give you an honest recommendation: stabilise and extend it, rebuild one part of it, or plan a migration off it. Sometimes the answer is that the existing system is fine and the problem is somewhere else, and that is a cheaper answer for you than a rebuild.

We pick per project rather than forcing every client onto the same stack, and we stay with mainstream, well supported tooling so any competent developer can pick it up later. Whatever we choose is named and explained in your documentation, along with how it is deployed and what it depends on.

No. Bespoke development stands on its own and plenty of clients only use us for that. If you do run more with us, the pieces share one customer record and one bill, and the custom parts can read from the same data as your ordering, bookings and CRM rather than living in a silo.

Our 24/7 support covers monitoring and fixes, so an error at eleven on a Saturday is seen by us rather than reported by your customer on Monday. Most clients also keep a development retainer, which means the roadmap keeps moving and the product does not quietly become the legacy system you replace in four years.

Tell us the process costing your team the most time.

You do not need a specification. Bring the spreadsheet, the WhatsApp group or the job nobody wants, and we will tell you honestly what replacing it would take and whether it is worth it.
