Case study · Events & Weddings
The church that got its licence back.
Springfield Hall is an 1886 church in Sandiacre, restored into an events venue. In August 2024 it was licensed for ceremonies again, the first time since the 1960s. We rebuilt the website around what that unlocked, and put the venue’s own events on sale through Ordernised Experiences. Enquiries rose 232% in the first month.

Enquiries, in the first month.
One rebuild, focused entirely on turning visitors into enquiries, more than tripled the venue’s enquiry volume within thirty days of going live.
A building with a proper story.
Most venues have to invent a sense of occasion. Springfield already had one, sitting on Station Road since 1886.

- 1886Built as a Methodist churchRed brick Victorian Gothic, an arched traceried window in the gable, and an arch braced timber roof that is still the best thing in the room.
- 2008The Reid family take it onBought by a family who saw what it could be, and began the long job of bringing the building back to life.
- 2023Ashley and Kelly take over the businessA husband and wife team running the venue day to day, with the family continuing to own the building and the land.
- August 2024Licensed for ceremonies againFor the first time since the 1960s, couples can legally marry in the building itself, rather than book it for the party afterwards. That one fact changes what the venue is worth to a couple, and it was buried two thirds of the way down a page.
One venue, any occasion.
It is one hall. The work was showing people how many different days it can hold, instead of asking them to imagine it.

The problem was never the venue.
The room sells itself the moment someone stands in it. Online, the old site was doing the opposite.
Everything worth knowing was hidden.
- Every price locked inside a PDF download
- Professional photography of the hall going unused
- The ceremony licence buried in a paragraph
- The enquiry form left to the end of the journey
The venue leads, the enquiry follows.
- The hall shown at full width, dressed and in use
- What it costs and what is included, on the page
- The licence made the headline it deserved
- The venue putting its own events on sale, direct

The Sunday carvery
A quiet service, booked solid.
The kitchen is entirely in house, from £10 a head buffets to grazing tables, afternoon tea and a full three course wedding breakfast. The Sunday carvery was the part with the most room to grow: a weekly service, open to anyone, that most of the village did not know was running.
We gave it its own place on the site, made a table effortless to book, and put targeted promotion behind it. It now brings people through the doors every week, and a good number of them come back later asking about the hall for something of their own.
Ordernised Experiences
Their events, on sale the day they think of them.
This is what they came to us for. The venue builds the event, sets the places and the price, and takes the booking direct.
A tapas night used to mean a social post and names on a pad. Now it is live the same day, capped, and paid for before anyone arrives.
